In 1969, visionary couple François and Maggy Doucet founded François Doucet Confiseur in the small village of Oraison, France. François' family had a rich tradition in confectionery dating back to his great-grandfather who created la pâte de fruit d’Auvergne.

Located in the heart of Provence and surrounded by fruit orchards, the company benefits from abundant supplies of the best local fruits (apricot, pear, apple, peach, quince, fig, and more). 75% of the fruit used is from local Provençal farmers, and all is harvested at the peak of ripeness and rigorously selected.

The Provençal company has been crafting exceptional confections for over 50 years, and in 2017, François Doucet obtained the Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant (EPV), a label established by the French government to distinguish French companies for their excellence in craftsmanship and product quality.

From starting as a small confectionery atelier to becoming a renowned company employing over 70 people (and growing!), François Doucet has always strived to combine craftsmanship with innovation while staying true to their roots as a family business. Today, the company is led by daughter Marie-Edith Derupty-Doucet, with the support of her three siblings.

We're proud to offer François Doucet's famous Pâtes de Fruits, Pâtes de Fruits Bars, and special Lavender Honey Squares (made exclusively with rare Provençal miel de lavande).
