Sundried Tomato Spread
Produced By: Masseria Mirogallo
in Basilicata, Italy
Experience the concentrated essence of Masseria Mirogallo’s authentic Pomodori Secchi with this thick, spreadable ingredient. The Belfiore family harvests tomatoes at the peak of ripeness on their family farm, then dries them in the hot Basilicata sun to intensify their flavor. The dried tomatoes are then blended with the Belfiore family’s own extra virgin olive oil and a touch of white wine vinegar.
This versatile ingredient provides an explosion of tomato flavor. Spread it generously on crostini and drizzle with extra virgin olive oil. Enrich focaccia and pasta dough. Enhance your favorite pizza or panino. Add a teaspoon to salad dressings, soups, or stews for an extra flavor boost. For a quick and satisfying meal, toss it with hot pasta. You will be amazed at how swiftly this jar disappears!
