The Lunardi brothers have been delighting local residents with their incredible baked treats for decades. Their bakery, Al Dolce Forno, is located in the village of Quarrata, surrounded by the lush green, gently sloping Montalbano hills. Olive trees and vineyards dot the landscape. If you are lucky enough to come across this little bakery in your travels, you will likely see and smell their fresh focaccia, very much of the region. In addition to their baked delicacies, the Lunardi brothers have taken advantage of some of the culinary treasures that are part of the region to produce a very special sweet and savory condiment. They have blended acacia honey with shavings of white truffle with the result being an earthy honey with an intense perfume.
Traditions: The complex flavors merry perfectly with creamy soft ripened cows milk cheeses, such as Taleggio, Langhe Robiola, or Wrinkled Paglierina.
